Go Ducks Inspired Bracelet

GO DUCKS INSPIRED BRACELET

The body of this bracelet includes stars which are started with a combination of circular peyote with petals jutting out. They were then stitched together one by one and larger circular peyote with embellishment star flowers were made with emerald toned Czech firepolish beads. The bracelet is closed with a yellow duck button which was made in Japan. Very cute and shows "Oregon Duck" spirit: perfect for any fan of green and gold or duck and colorful beaded jewelry lover anywhere.

Just completed another netted cuff! This one came out really nice, elegant, and expensive looking, I think! I called it "In the Rose Garden"

I've started an online ETSY shop which will sell my beaded work and some craft items from Japan. I just started so I'm not sure the direction I will go with it, but I will put beaded and other creations up there as they're produced.

Here is something I never saw before Korea (besides traditional culture), and that is the brand TEENIE WEENIE. I can't help but smile or crack up when I hear that name. So Max and I bought some Teenie Weenie goods from an outlet store.

The heat of autumn is here, and I sit in my chair with very sweaty legs.

The Gang Gang Cockatoo

I first came to know the gang-gang cockatoo when I watched a PBS special. The females have light grey crests while the males have those wacky red crests. Something about their colors and the texture just reminds me of punk bikers. I find it hilarious that nature has made some "biker" looking creatures. The term "Gang-Gang" suits these perfectly. They are native to the southeastern area of Australia in the more temperate forests. Wikipedia does not have much written on these creatures.

Bearfoam

I had to share... and take a brief interlude from my studies and job hunting.

It's been about two weeks since my last acupuncture... and about one more week to go. I haven't gone this long for a while and everything is ok, but I'm definitely missing the sense of peace that it gives me! I also feel like I might be regretting stopping yoga. Even though I didn't feel it when I was there, I think it helps recenter and reset the body when there is so much school stress. I'm doing a ballet class that day instead, and my does my foot-ball hurt (ball of my foot.) I think the bone under the pad is irritated... I didn't realize I had such big calluses down there when I used to dance!

Kichwa's House

So my mom got Kichwa a snuggle hut for Christmas. He's been scared of it since then but seems the house is a little chilly today and he decided to take the plunge and SNUGGLE.

Lovebirds tend to like to snuggle in little dark places. He was using a nest box for a while but I moved him back in my room to free up a place in the living room. Cutie Patootie.
